How to get Naked

Ready to join the naked bicycle family?

  1. SUBMIT FORM: Fill out the Get Naked form to join the waiting to get naked list.

  2. PAY DEPOSIT: When your build window opens up, pay your $750 deposit to confirm you’re ready to go.

  3. CONFIRM DESIGN: Finalize decisions of fit, build kit and finish; confirm with your 50% payment.

  4. BUILD to RIDE: We build while you anticipate new bike day! Pay final invoice; ride your new naked!

Fill out and send us the Get Naked Form with your info!

Once you have decided to get a naked bicycle, it is time to get on the waiting list! There is no deposit required to get on this list and there is no commitment from either of us. The more concise info you can provide through the Get Naked Form, and the closer to our core configurations your choices, the faster we can get you into the next building phase, where the real work and magic happens!

2. Pay Deposit >>

 

Commit to build window with initial deposit

We build in small build windows of similar bicycle types. Usually 3-4 windows per year. While one build window is underway, we will open up our orders for the upcoming window. We’ll then send an invite to those on the long list who want that type of bicycle. If you are not sure, this is the time to ask the big questions! Those who are ready to go and have been on the list the longest will get priority.

If you are ready to make all decisions of fit, finish and build kit and commit to the build timeline, a $750 non-refundable deposit gets you into the next build window. This deposit will go towards the total cost of your build.

    We can take Credit Card, Paypal payment through our online store, but these will have service fees attached.

    We can also accept a good ol’ fashioney cheque.

3. Confirm >>

Finalize your fit, build kit & flare with 50% deposit

Now things will start to happen fast! You will be on your new naked before you know it. Once you have committed to the build window, we get down to work on finalizing details.

 

  • We need to get your fitting information confirmed so we can create a design drawing for you to approve and we can start cutting tubes. This is best done here at naked HQ, but can also be done with numbers you provide or from a local fitter you trust.

  • We need to confirm your decisions on which build kit (if any) you want from our core configurations, so we can efficiently order your parts and ensure they arrive on time. There may be some options for sizing, colour and substitutions/omissions.

  • We need to confirm your ideas of colour, paint, anodizing and finish as well, so custom art can be designed, paint ordered and time budgeted.

  • You need to pay your 50% deposit as confirmation of these decisions, so we can get the build window rolling along.

These decisions will have a deadline. If, in the design phase, we are not able to complete the above decisions and 50% deposit, or you decide you actually want to wait or get a different style, we will invite you to join the next build window of that bicycle type. You will have first priority when that build window comes around again.

4. Build to Ride!!

Over the next few months our hands will form Titanium into your new naked bicycle. By building in smaller batch windows, we are able to deliver your new bicycle efficiently and in a timely manner. Of course, if the early 2020’s taught us anything, delays can happen.

As we are finishing your new bike, we’ll send you a bill for the final amount owing, to be paid before delivery or pickup of your new rig. This is best paid via e-transfer or Cheque. We may be able to take your CC or Paypal, but you will be charged the service fees unfortunately.

  • We strongly encourage you to pick up your bike from us in person on Quadra Island! We appreciate the opportunity to hand off your bike and can review everything with you over a cup of tea or a glass of beer. Be aware that we may ask you to tip-over your new bike in the parking lot - we find it helps you get over the fear of scratching your new ride!

  • We can ship your bike or frame by a variety of methods including Canada Post, DHL, or Locher-Evers International. We will ship by the safest and most economical means available to your area. You are responsible for shipping costs as well as a small packing fee, to cover our time and cost of packing materials.

Ride!

This is the best part! This is the final reward for all of us. We build bikes because we want you to ride them. We want to see your big smile. If you’re happy, we’re happy. Send us your feedback and pictures of you getting Naked! Pictures of Naked bikes and Naked customers that is, not customers who happen to be naked!! That’s a different website.
